OUR STORY

We only make one thing.

By Rachel Hayes, founder of Hush.

For years my hair thinned quietly — more in the brush, less volume at the crown — long before anyone talks about it out loud. I did what most of us do. I bought the shampoos. I tried the gadgets that looked impressive online and delivered nothing. And I paid a salon $90 an hour for scalp treatments I could never sustain.

What actually has research behind it is unglamorous: consistent red light at the scalp, and a massage that moves blood through it — five to ten minutes, several times a week. The devices that did this properly cost $400 or more, and the affordable ones cut corners everywhere you can't see.

So I stopped shopping around and built the device once, properly. Hush places 50 red LEDs directly against the follicles, and a brushless motor glides the head side to side so it kneads the scalp without ever pulling a strand. It took two years. We shipped it the day it was right — not before.

What we refuse

No catalogue

Most brands launch ten gadgets and see what sticks. We spent two years getting one device right.

No miracle claims

Red light at 660nm is the wavelength studied for supporting the hair-growth phase. That is the claim, and it is the only one we make.

No manufactured urgency

When a batch is genuinely limited, we say so. You will never find a fake countdown timer here.

No subscriptions

One device, one price. Nothing to cancel, nothing that renews behind your back.
